Generator Rooms Acoustic Treatment

We offer Acoustic Treatment for DG Rooms. The Noise is control by providing Acoustic lining on walls & ceiling, all ordinary doors / shutters are to be converted in to sound proof doors. The proper Air ventilation system is designed to allow the maximum aspiration and cooling airflow required so the engine does not overheat. Axial flow fan of required size & number provided for proper Air ventilation. Acoustic louvers, splitter & Insulated ducts are provided to suppress the noise where required.

GI Duct Work.

We are providing upon request infront of Radiator Gi Duct for Hot Air Outlet and Fresh air intake as per Ventilation Calulation. Protected with Insulation.

Fuel Lifting Connections

A dial fuel gauge, fuel filter inlet and outlet connections, drain plug and all feed and return fuel pipe shall be lifted to the tank complete with hose for filling purposes

An electrical or manual fuel lift pump shall supplied and installed near daily fuel tank to lift fuel automatically or manually from the bulk storage tank (if available) to the daily storage tank. Necessary float switches to operate lift pump shall be provided.

Smoke Exhaust Work.

Exhaust System is include a residential silencer including flexible exhaust fitting, properly sized and installed according to the manufacturer’s recommendation. Silencer mounted so that its weight is not supported by the engine. Exhaust pipe shall have sufficient size to ensure that exhaust back pressure does not exceed the maximum limitations specified by the generator set manufacturer.

The muffler and indoor exhaust piping shall be lagged to maintain a surface temperature not to exceed 65oC. The insulation shall be installed so that it does not interfere with the functioning of the flexible exhaust fittings.

Flexible gastight connection pieces shall be provided in the exhaust pipe line to allow for thermal expansion and to prevent vibration being transmitted from the engine.

A clearance hole shall be allowed where exhaust pipe passes through to avoid overheating of the surrounding wall.

Commissioning

Epoxy painting on the iron pipes using the matching colors of the building enhances its aesthetic value.

Choosing the perfect location

While determining a suitable location for your generator set there are many aspects you have to take into consideration. Access, space for maintenance, noise, ventilation, exhaust piping, fuel piping, humidity, and temperature are some of the factors that must be considered. A location where temperature conditions are controlled and noise isolation from main working area is preferred. A tail water gallery location is frequently used for a generator set.

Level of ground

The generator should be placed on a level surface, which is non-combustible and non-conducting and a little above the ground level to prevent its contact from rising water levels.

Electrical connections (wiring)

Wiring of the transfer switch, 120,240V circuit breaker:To connect a standby generator to your existing electrical system, you’ll need a separate device called an Automatic Transfer Switch. The transfer switch is an essential safety system that prevents your generator from feeding electricity back to the local power grid.Do not attempt to install a transfer switch yourself. Installation of transfer switches always requires a professional electrician. The model of transfer switch will depend mainly on the size of your generator. In very high-priority situations such as hospitals, higher-end transfer switches can be worth the extra cost.In addition to the generator and transfer switch, you may want to invest on a dedicated electrical sub-panel, as well. Only your essential equipment is connected to the sub-panel, which is connected to the generator. That way, when power fails, your critical devices will get the emergency power without the risk of overworking your generator or turning off or unplugging other equipment.

Connecting the fuel tank

Extreme care should be taken when designing and installing the fuel system. Fuel lines should have few connections as far as possible and it should be kept away from hot engine or exhaust components. The fuel tanks should be in a level with or below the set to prevent siphoning in the event of a line failure. If the set is higher level than the tank, an auxiliary fuel pump may be required.
